Company Overview

At JA Consulting, we have identified a new ideology on the approach to workplace safety. Safety is commonly highlighted in a physical sense (i.e., are employees being injured at work, etc.). For us, its important to understand and incorporate aspects of emotional and psychological safety of employees, which can result in increased performance and productivity, lower staff turnover, higher employee satisfaction and more.

Current labour-related research indicates that those in social minorities are more likely to experience harassment and discrimination at work. These instances result in declines in productivity, more absenteeism, higher staff turnover and many more harmful outcomes, not only to the company, but the individual employee themselves. These individual outcomes can have detrimental effects on your business.

A lack of accountability and fair response are highlighted by affected employees as major obstacles to their workplace productivity. Feeling understood, accepted, and heard by employers is paramount to maintaining a healthy and productive working environment. J Armstrong Consulting was developed to assist businesses in handling workplace discrimination and violence. Taking an intersectional approach, we aim to provide businesses with effective procedures and policies to assist with dealing with these types of misconduct.

Our policies align with all national and international labour law placing your company in full compliance. Investigation Guidance

Our company offers assistance and guidance on misconduct investigations relating to harassment and violence. We also provide training to Human Resources personnel handling investigations of this kind. This can help to ensure that investigations going forward are handled fairly and effectively.
Labour Law Guidance

Our legislation is dynamic, and we offer updates and guidance on how legislative changes affect your business and its conduct policies and internal procedures. We stay on top of all changes to labour-related codes, laws, and acts, both nationally and internationally (where relevant). This service will allow you to stay ahead of changing legislation and remain fully compliant.
Workplace Climate Surveying

We design surveys and feedback tools allowing companies to understand their workforce and provide guidance on policies and procedures that benefit the overall organisation as well as all those working within it. With full reports at the end of each study, your business will have the ability to identify problem areas and apply necessary remedies to create a safe working environment.
Risk Assessment

Under the new labour-law Code, it is required that companies partake in risk assessment exercises to identify key problem areas relating to DEI, harassment, and violence in the workplace. With our up-to-date knowledge on labour law and codes, we can implement risk assessments with detailed reports to provide companies with current information and optimal suggestions to maintain an accepting and productive workforce.
